Smash Faces!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lag in posts, I have been REALLY busy! AndI have been taking Christmas Card photos, so I don't want to spoil any one's photo before they are sent out. In a couple of weeks I will have a bunch of posts ready to go so stay tuned!

In the meantime, I figured I would share some of my favorite photo's of one of my most favorite things. Anyone who knows me can probably guess I am going to say Finnegan :-) He is our 3.5 year old Olde English Bulldogge and he may as well be our child. I do call him my 4-legged child. He is our baby and I really can't image my world without him in it.

Hubby and I say he's 1/3 Cat, 1/3 Human and 1/3 Dog.

Finnegan:

  • Loves to snuggle
  • Hates the rain
  • Loves cheese
  • Whines if you are in his seat or if he wants to get under the blanket
  • Has to be touching one of us or in the same room as one of us at all times
  • Doesn't like helicopters on the television
  • Thinks he is a lapdog
  • Likes the bathtub. He will stare at the faucet until you turn it on and then he'll have a little drink. So weird.
  • Fathered 10 puppies in 2 litters (no more though, we took his manhood away in May), all of which I wanted to steal.
  • Loves smelling leaves and eating sticks
  • Sleeps between us in bed, on his back, with his head on the pillow. Although he starts out in a ball at the foot of the bed, and works his way up to the top in the middle of the night.
  • Hates the wind. He will sleep in the corner when the windows are open and the blinds are banging again the sill. Big tough bulldogge -- yea right.
  • Other things he is afraid of -- Orange Cones, Vacuums, Hubby's Golf Bag, Flee/Tick Medicine (he's been known to pee while we put it on. No fun)
He has so much personality I sometimes can't stand it. We love him. Enjoy!

(Please excuse some of the low quality photos!)
This was the first night we got him. Already a baby boy!

Can I help you?

This was the first time we took him to the park and let him off the leash. Over at Stoddard's Neck in Hingham on 3A. I thought he may swim to Boston. He loved it. Clearly.
Me and my Boy!

Just watching a little TV with Dad.

He's not fully comfortable until he is on his back. We say he's in "Stage 4 of sleep." When you really can't wake him up. He won't even get up for a walk. We literally have to put the leash on him while on the couch/bed, and drag him outside.

I know I am a teensy-weensy bit obnoxious when it comes to my dog, but I don't care. He's my smash face and I will always love my Finnegan.  <3

Stay tuned for new posts later in the week!

Little Man Brayden

Hi All! Turkey Day is almost here! I can't wait to eat, eat, eat, drink and eat some more on Thursday. I usually have to work the day after Thanksgiving, but I decided to take it off this year. I have a shoot with one of my best friends and her 2 fabulous babes (which I Can. Not. Wait. to do) in the morning. I wrote about Jack Here. He has a Little Baby Brother Owen now and I am so excited to see what I can capture. Then I plan on having some hot cocoa maybe mixed with Bailey's and watching the 9 Lifetime Christmas Movies in my DVR. I might decorate a bit too. Hubby will be holed up in the home office working so I can't make too much noise, though.

Anyways, this past Saturday Morning I had the pleasure of taking the Christmas Card pictures of one of the cutest little monkeys ever. His name is Brayden and he is the  Preppiest little babe on the block. He puts me to shame, and that is saying something! His mom, Kristen is one of the nicest people you would EVER want to meet so needless to say, I had a blast. It also helps that they live 3 doors down from me. Seeing him all the time makes him comfortable with me, and with the camera in his face.  Because let's face it, with a kid this cute, and with a wardrobe better then mine, it would be a travesty if his picture wasn't taken all the time :-)

He celebrated his First Birthday back in September and I will share some of those pictures at another time. I was the "unofficial photographer" that day.  But this is about his Christmas Card Photos. Here you go!

Adding a little bit of Christmas to the Christmas Card Shoot!

He's such a cutie-pie with that smile!!!

Of course Kristen had a wardrobe change for him. How adorable are both of those sweaters? And his Uggs? Told you he dresses better than me!

All kids get to the breaking point. This is it with Brayden!

Comforting hugs from Mommy!

Thank you for letting me take Brayden's pictures! As promised I will be back when we get out first snowfall!

Busy Busy Bee!

Happy Friday Everyone! This short (although not short for me) week wasn't too bad! I am SUPER busy this weekend and next weekend with shoots and it's ALL because of YOU! Thank you all so much for your support and kind words. I'm starting to get e-mails from my family and friend's friends and that is SUPER exciting!

I have put together a Price List and you can look over on GingerPicsPhotos Facebook --

I'm still new to the blog thing, so I hope to have all the information here as well.

Please do not hesitate if anyone has any questions at all!

Have a great weekend and Happy Almost Turkey Day!

New Venture

What a gloomy day here in Boston.  It's the kind of day where I just want to lay on the couch with Finn and some Hot Chocolate and watch all the trash TV I can. Lifetime has started airing their amazingly cheesy Christmas Movies. There are already 3 in my DVR. Don't judge me.

A few weeks ago I did my first shoot with people who I didn't know. And I wasn't nervous at all! One of my neighbors (thanks Scoots!)  had a friend who wanted pictures of her, and her boys. I absolutely said it was OK to pass my information on to her. We ended up meeting at one of my favorite spots, Webb Park, in North Weymouth. The day couldn't have been any more perfect. 60 degrees and sunny. If you live close and have never been over to Webb Park, what are you waiting for?!

These two boys are great! I know they weren't thrilled about getting up early on a weekend to have their pictures taken with their mother, but you would never know it.  Not only are they both so handsome, you can tell they really love their mom.  Have a look!

How handsome are these two?

Hope everyone had a great day! Thanks for looking!

Manic Monday

Happy Monday everyone! Why does the weekend always have to go by so fast? I have been getting such great feedback from family and friends about my new "venture" so I just wanted to Thank Everyone! I am very excited! Some family members have booked me up next Sunday (fingers crossed its sunny)  up on the Lake in Wakefield. I'm pretty pumped.

With yesterday being Veteran's Day, and today being the observance, I can't NOT Thank all of our Service Men & Women. My father, Grandfather's and Hubby are all Vets. So a BIG Thank You. My father goes down to the National Cemetery in Bourne every year to put flags on all the graves. It is such a fantastic thing to see.

Billy took this one. He's where I get my talent from :-) He always makes sure he does my Grampa and Nana Sullivan's grave stone too, which is nice.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I thought I would share some of my FAVORITE shots that I have taken over the past couple of years. I have an Etsy store that I sell many of these photos on. Check it out!
All 5 x 7 photos come with a great white mat, that fits an 8 x 10 frame.  Start thinking about gifts for Family and Friends!
New England is such an awesome place to grow up. You can go to the beach one day, and go to the mountains the next. Add the four seasons in the mix, and there are endless photo opportunities.  Here are some of those.....
 My Parents have been going to Nantucket since before I was born. I try and go at least for a long weekend every year with them.  Last year (May, 2011) one day, we took a ride all over the Island. The weather and sunlight was perfect. I got some amazing shots.
After Hubby and I got married, we took a couple days off and went up to Portland, Maine.  We had the best couple of days. Of course we brought Finnegan. The hotel was dog friendly, and really nice. I think we might go back again for a long weekend after the new year.
I got up super early, took Finn for a walk down to the beach, and watched the sun come up. So peaceful and beautiful.
Boston you're my home! I LOVE just bringing my camera in town, walking around and taking pictures. There is always something going on.
Make Way! You can't live in Boston and not photograph the ducks!
This was taken in my parents yard. And is probably one of my top 5 favorites. It looks fabulous in a huge frame, with a white mat.
 Hubby and I went to Ireland on our Honeymoon, and it was the BEST trip. These are just a few of the 1500 pictures I took during those 10 days.
Thanks for reading!
Jackaroo!
The weekend is here! We made it! The weather is supposed to be nice too, and who doesn't love that!  I realized yesterday that Thanksgiving is 4 weeks away, which means Christmas is 6 weeks away. I'm not ashamed to say that I have Christmas Music on at work already. But I have a great excuse for jumping the gun -- I got married last year on December 10th, so my nuptials overshadowed the Holiday. I told the Hubby that we are getting the BIGGEST Christmas Tree that will fit in our place because we didn't get one last year.
As much as I would love to continue talking about the Holidays (food, eggnog, GIFTS!) lets get to the whole point of this blog. Pictures! Jack is my great friend Kathryn's son. She is the first of my good close friends to have a baby so to say he doesn't have a special place in my heart, would be a lie. This kid has always been awesome. And now he has a baby brother to show the ways to. Although, Baby Brother was still baking in the oven when these pictures were taken.
We went up to another friend's house in Beverly. She lives super close to the water (can you say jealous!), so we went down to a beach for a low key summer day! Last year I made the decision to take my camera anywhere that we were going to be with our friends. I feel hardly anyone takes pictures anymore. Well, I ended up having a mini photo-session with Jack. He is such a cutie. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Love you Little Jackaroo!
I brought you some sand mom!
I love this one :-)
Thanks Holt Family! I can't wait to capture your new edition Owen!
