Today is the last day of March, and a week into Spring. And it was 35* and snowing. Yuck. Charley had the right idea by taking a Happy Nappy. And whenever she sleeps, she kicks 1 foot out. Cutest. Thing. Ever.

Today my Little Girl is 4 months old! I put her in her high chair for the first time this morning. She isn't eating anything that she needs to be in her high chair, I just figured I'd see how she faired. The bottom right picture is my favorite because of the drool pouring out of her mouth. She is a drool machine lately.

My Birdie had her 4 month check up today. She's 14lbs, 15oz and 25 inches long. Nice and healthy. And she took her shots like a champ. Mommy was better than last time too. She's growing up so fast!

My Birdie kicks her feet so much when we change her. These pics were taken in 5 seconds. And she is getting so big that she barely fits on the changing table anymore. She constantly whacks her feet on the railing at the end. Love her. 

A Little Bunny Reading

So Charley Bird's room is FINALLY finished. Tonight Hubby put the crib together, so that meant today there was plenty of space for us to have a quick little photo shoot. The best shoots always happen when I don't plan to do one. I just kind of grabbed a bunch of stuff and shut the dog out and ran with it. She is the best. I really can't stand it. Here are my favorites. Enjoy!

Some friends sent her this pillow. How adorable? And we painted her room a really light purple so it matches perfectly.

She was getting annoyed with the ears, but was still being really cute so I ran with what I had in the room. We had a Bring A Book Baby Shower and she has so many great books. She is just starting to want to grab at things too. I love these ones. 

You can see this one is from Brayden. He will be her BFF in a few years. Brayden already thinks he is. :-)

I hope you guys enjoy my Charley. God knows I can't get enough of her.

So this happened tonight. And I cried. I will ask what I asked my BFF -- am I going to cry at EVERY. FLIPPING. MILESTONE? Probably. She will be 4 months next week and we have been feeling for the last couple days/week, that she has wanted something more than just milk. We just put a little in her bottle and she chugged it so tomorrow we will add a little more. And for the fruit/veggies. There is 1 ingredient. ONE. For the first 4 years (hopefully) we can control what she eats. After that, not so much.  So yes, organic it is.  First time mom, so sue me.  

She is currently sitting on Daddy's lap, talking up a store about J.Lo's dress on American Idol. God I love that girl.

Obviously we had Corned Beef on Monday because, dir, we are Irish and it was St. Paddy's (NOT PATTIES - those are burgers) Day. It came out delish too. I added 2 Guinness in with the Carrots, Potatoes and Onion. I slabbed a whole bunch of Spicy Mustard on the Corned Beef. Added water to the Guinness to the top of the Corned Beef (but not completely submerged) and cooked that baby on High for 4 Hours then turned it down to low for the rest. Right before you are ready to eat, add the chopped up Cabbage and let that cook for no less than 20 minutes.  One of our Melrose Neighbors made a fabulous Shephard's Pie. It was a good night all around. We do have fun up here in our Bubble.

Mid Afternoon Snack. I didn't indulge in wine. That whole, I need to continue to feed my baby breast milk thing, gets in the way. That is Hubby making sure the wine we got is drinkable.  But I may have eaten almost the entire bowl of Spinach and Artichoke Dip.  Sue me.

So Hubby realized that he got a whole bunch of bonus points on his credit card if he ordered this case of wine. So obviously we had 12 bottles delivered for $70.  And it came with a nice little fancy cork screw (although I am a fan of just a basic wine key). I love the box that it came in. I thought the latch was cool.

We are having a General Contractor come in this morning to look at My Charley's room. Finn goes bananas when we have people over so I am preparing and locking us in the bedroom for the time being. He knows what's up though. He's currently whining at the door. If he didn't insist on humping everyone that came over, it would be much easier!

So when Charley was first born, she looked like a little bird when we were trying to feed her.  The nurses told us to make her work for it, and she would shake her head a little bit with her mouth open, like a little bird. So her nickname is now Bird. That's not so bad, right?

She started to get fussy when we first started so I changed and fed her. Then she
passed out. She was so cute. Love my birdie.

This one is probably my favorite of the bunch. She was so out cold, I could have gone on for 20 more minutes but stupid me forgot to charge my battery and my camera died. Doh!

Slacker

I have been slacking the past couple weeks on my Project 365. We all have busy things going on, but really the main reason is that the light in our condo is so awful this time of the year. I get good light in my living room (which I can't utilize because Hubby is working in the living room) from around 11  - 1 and in my bedroom for a short time after that. Plus, we have so much more crap in our bedroom because everything from Charley's room is now in our room due to a small water issue. More on that later. Not to get religious, but God only gives you what you can handle. Thank god she is an amazing baby or I would have lost my mind way before now.
