Christmas via my iPhone

Happy Friday Everyone! I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. I hope I am lying to you. But they always start out the same way. Sore throat, then cold, now sneezing. So tonight I'm laying low because we are having some of my MIL (Mother-in-Law) side of the family over tomorrow for Christmas! Fingers crossed I wake up tomorrow and feel better. Lasagna needs to be eaten, and drinks need to be drank!

Today I'm going to show you my holiday, through my iPhone. Being an aspiring photographer, you would think that I would bring my camera everywhere. However, some people do not like having a camera in their face. So since I have only have my new phone for about a month, I am still obsessed with Instagram. There are a bunch of pictures and I could have added 20 more! I hope you enjoy my Christmas 2012 Story!

I was sitting home one night and Finn was being such a baby. I literally had our Christmas Cards on the table ready to be sent out, and then I snapped this. Seriously?! How awesome is this photo. I might still frame it. Love.

These next 3 are from one of my Melrose Neighbors. We always end up having impromptu brunches/dinner and these are from a brunch. T had some extra veggies and made a great Veggie Frittata and we had 2 pound of bacon, bagels and of course Champagne. Did I mention 5 women ate all of that food? We are a bunch of little piggies. :-)
Mimosas all around!
Buddy, the Mascot of Melrose Place

The Elf made his first appearance of the year. He was having a bath in OJ. Don't judge him.

I got those glasses as a Yankee Swap gift a couple of years ago and never ended up using them. So I take them out for Christmas. They are kind of ugly, but I don't really care. They are festive!

Some of my favorite Holiday Things: Floating Candles, Mason Jars, Cranberries, Nana's Christmas Tree :-)

I bought this at Target and I love it. My little Santa Beer Coozie.

For those who didn't get a Christmas Card, this is the one we used. It looks like he is under a towel, but it is actually a blanket and he does this himself. He loves to nuzzle he way into things.

Christmas Tree Shopping!

The finished product! It is a great tree, and lasted a month!
My mom's company always gets tickets to the Christmas Pops Spectacular so I love continuing the tradition.  I just hope one day I can bring my kids (whenever they decide to come!)
The trees in front of the Christian Science Center on Huntington Ave. So pretty.

The Pops! There were a few special guests: Zoltan Mesko and a few other Patriots helped conduct a song. Governor Deval Patrick read "Twas the Night Before Christmas." And Vanessa Williams was the guest singer in the second half. It is always such a fun night.

Gorgeous ceiling of the Boston Symphony.

Another great Christmas Card Photo Op!

This was a planned Christmas Get-together with Melrose. It was supposed to be Brunch but it ended up starting around 2, so we basically ate and drank from 2:30 on.  As you can see we had quite the spread. And then a ham, potatoes, quiche and salad were brought out. I told you we are piggies!

I got amazing cheese and meats from Whole Foods. So good!

Have you ever had a Poinsettia? It's champagne and pomegranate juice, and just delish! Not to mention a very pretty drink.

This is Sadie, my parents dog. They got her over the summer and she is such a sweetie, although it has taken a few months to get there. This big candy cane is wrapped in Sweet Potato. She thoroughly enjoyed chewing her way through that!

My Brother-in-Law and his very nice Christmas Sweater. Until you look at it just long enough to realize he is just fresh! No one noticed. It was great.

This is the best Christmas Gift Ever. Mac Book Air. Hubby knows me well.  I can't wait to start creating on it!

Boys "Rock, Paper, Scissor" - ing over who gets the last shrimp. Typical holiday at the Noonan household!

All tuckered out after all the festivities! I think he will miss sleeping under the tree when we take it down.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my Christmas! It is such a wonderful Holiday. With all the horrible things happening in the news lately, it makes me feel a bit better knowing that I have such great family and friends.

I wish all of you a Happy and Fabulous New Year! Talk to you all in 2013!

I hope Santa was as good to you as he was to me. My fabulous Hubby gave me a Mac Book Air! Get Down!!!!!  I may have cried (who are we all kidding, of course I cried. Because I am a sap. S.A.P.) We have been really busy, and I promise I will have some photo related posts coming up really soon! Stay tuned :-)

D & A

Hi all! Can I just tell you how happy I am about all of the things everyone is saying about my new business venture, and this blog. It makes it feel so worth it! I really hope to make this a profession one day, and I feel I am really headed in the right direction. Thank you all for your support and kind word!

I can not wait for you guys to see these next photos. I have known Kerry for years! Both of her parents have worked with my mom at the Boston Herald for what seems like forever. We sort of grew up going there. I have had numerous jobs in what seems like every department (Editorial, Circulation, 2 week stint in the Mail Room, and finally Advertising) and she ended up working there too.  One of the first memories I have is when I was 18 or 19 and she took me down to the Electrician's (I think!) Christmas Party.  She may or may not have given me a cup filled with something spiked. :-) Fast forward a few years and both of us were working in Advertising. She met her husband, Dominic, there as well. She eventually left when it came time to have her first, Little Dominic, but we stayed in touch. Anthony came along a few years later and they are two of THE CUTEST children I. Have. Ever. Seen.

Just have yourself a little look-see!

Oh hi Rudolph! You're nose is bright! Can I touch it?

I love these kids. I love Kerry and Dom. They should have some more fat babies so I can take more pictures.

Have a great day!

1st Anniversary!

Hey there everyone! Happy Monday! Why do the weekends go by so fast? Saturday Greg and headed back to the Barker to celebrate our First Anniversary! Even though it is really today.  I can't believe it's been a year already. Time is flying by. We have been together for like 6 1/2 years! I was just a baby when we met. Although I thought I knew everything, like any 22/23 year old does. I can't believe he asked me out on a second date! If you know me at all, I'm not exactly a shy person, and he is kinda quiet. I had him up until 5 in the morning talking about GOD knows what. Probably trying to impress him. Obviously it worked because he called the next day and the rest is history! I actually went into work that Saturday and told everyone I met the guy I am going to marry. I guess you really do just know, when you know!

A group of mutual friends thought it would be a great idea if they set us up. Well it turns out they know what they were doing. We were the second couple (the first are actually These Kids Parents) that ended up getting married because of their matchmaking skills! The night that it all started was quite funny. It involved a planter catching on fire, a firefighters first fire -- to be put out with a garden hose, everyone making us sit next to each other on the couch (like we were 13).  We proceed to have 1 more beer at the biggest dive bar in town (no longer there) and then I convinced him to drive to West Roxbury (from Weymouth -- not close!). He must have fallen in love with my charm right away because he actually followed me there. Annnnnd the rest is history. Of course there are many more things I could tell you about how fabulous we are, but I won't bore you :-)

Onto the wedding photos. My cousin, Melissa DelRossi, was my photographer. I could not have been happier.  I cried. Simple as that.

Sister - in - Law, Me, Sister -- My SUPERMODEL bridesmaids
The FABULOUS Noonan's Don't know what I would do without them. Love them.

This is one of my favorites.  If anyone needs an officiant, TC is the best. It also was special that he is a family friend. It added just that much more to the ceremony.

The Foley's! I am now an official Foley!

My girls! Love them!
This is the crew that made it all happen. And it sums up EXACTLY how we are when we get together. Everyone is talking over each other, not listening. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Obviously Finnegan HAD to be a part of the day. Since we couldn't have there there, we had him on our table!

Mr. and Mrs. Foley

Our family. We are a good looking crew if you ask me.

You make me smile :-)

I hope you enjoyed my little tribute to us. I know I did.

Cheers,

The Mills Boys

Howdy! Today I am going to share 2 adorable little boys. They are my good friend Catherine and Tim's kids. Hubby has been friends with Timmy since he was like 5 years old. Their fathers are great friends too. I love that. We always have such a blast when we all hang out. All we do is laugh. Now Tim and Cat have 2 kiddos. Man how time flies. I remember their wedding! Timmy and James are awesome. If you looked up "Little Boys" in the dictionary, pictures of them would be there.  A few weeks ago we went to the park to capture them in their element. The ran around having a ball. I have to say, Timmy was such a ham. I was posing and smiling whenever I told him so. Love it! Such a great morning, not to mention this park was awesome. And it was like 60* so that helped.

Enjoy!

So much concentration!

Cat had a near heart attack when this happened. That slide is quite steep. How can you deny that smile though?!

My favorite pictures are ones like this. If he was my kid, this would be in a frame in the living room.

I'm laughing to myself as I'm adding these. Little James was so funny with those faces. He is such an animated kid!

I loved this shoot! There's nothing like capturing a child in their natural environment with natural smiles. I can't wait till Cat and Tim hire me again (hehehe)

Until next time!
