We found Nemo!

Is everyone all dug out? That was some storm! For those of you who don't know, we live up on a huge hill, in a condo complex that has one road in and one road out. Normally they do a fabulous job plowing and shoveling but this time, not so much! I don't know if it's because there was SO much snow and they just had too much to do, or what, but it's been 3 days since the snow stopped and the 1 road is pretty much still only 1.5 lanes wide. Not so safe. Or fun.

It was pretty bad Friday Night/Saturday Morning. We lost power for almost a day and it wasn't too bad at all, except it started getting a little cold as the sun started to set again on Saturday.  We were with our neighbors trying to figure out what to cook. The grill is an obvious option, but when the grill is frozen shut, cheese and crackers make a do.  Finally it came back on, and the driving ban was lifted, so we had the BRILLIANT idea (along with every. other. person.) to go out to an open restaurant. The roads were horrible, service was slow because of the (not joking) 3 people working to serve about 100 in the Chinese Restaurant we were at.

Sooo, with me being an aspiring photographer, you would have thought that I would have photographed the storm. You would think. Until the Auto-Focus stopped working on the camera. Major Bummer. Then it got super snowy and I didn't want to risk it getting wet. Then we lost power, and I couldn't charge my phone or else there would have been a slew of cell phone pictures.  BUT I did take some so here they are!!

My Hunters that I had yet to wear from Christmas. If you do not have a pair, invest NOW!

My mom knit me an Infinity Scarf, but the yarn was a bit chunky, so it doesn't fall quite right, BUT it is perfect for a snow storm, because you can wrap it over your head then around your neck. I love it.

Who needs a fridge, when you have a foot of snow to keep beverages chilled!

This is from the trek from the back condos, to ours. It took us 15 minutes to to about 250 feet. Kinda fun though.

Finn's new friend, Jo.

Buddy, trying to find a good spot.

The grill. That once we cleared off, found out it was frozen shut. Oh well.

Sunset, so pretty.

Finn, exhausted after trouncing in the snow!

If you are not cleared out, or have no power still, good luck with everything! Let's hope this next "storm" we are getting on Thursday doesn't add to the problems.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Oh Hello!

Oh Hello There! How is everyone today? I'm sitting on my couch and it has started to flurry outside. I really want a big snow storm. Although it seems like we have all turned into big babies and hate the snow. But this IS Boston, and it IS February. I love snow. I'd love it even if I was working and had to commute to Waltham. I always have. I saw on Facebook (really reliable place for news) that we could get a storm Friday, but I'll believe it when I see it!

Last week I took Lu-lu on a drive with me -- much to her dismay; "I don't like rides. I want to go home and watch my show." -- But lucky for her, the ride ended with a trip to Panera and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. Yum! Anyways, I saw Blue Hills on Chronicle some time a while ago, and have been meaning to drive through.  It was very cold, and the little one didn't really have the proper jacket (Babysitter of the year, right here!) so we couldn't walk around for too long.  So that means only a few shots. But that's ok. Now I know I definitely want to back up and maybe go on a short hike, sans 3 year old.

The sun was in her face so she asked to wear my sunglasses. She's 3 going on 21. Love the little diva.

Despite the cold, we had to take a turn on the swings. The thing about a park in the winter, we had the whole thing to ourselves. I just wish she had a heavier jacket. We would have stayed all day!

Freezing Pond.

Thanks for checking in. Ta-Ta for now!
