Patrick and Ryan

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! The weather has been nearly perfect. Although not very August-Like. I hope it isn't leading to an early Fall, and then an early Winter. Ug the thought of snow gives me a belly ache!

I'm taking you back to April with this post. I have ZERO idea how I skipped over these guys. This shoot was so fun. The weather was perfect and those faces made it so easy to keep snapping away. I went to High School with their mama so it was also nice to catch up a bit with her.

It took a few minutes for the boys to warm up to me. But I just did my thing and they got used to me being there. I loved their curiosity while throwing rocks in the water. It's the little things when you are a little kid. You can just see the wheels in their heads turning. Love it!

Enjoy!

I hope you all have a great week!

Baby Maverick

Today I am going to introduce you to Maverick. This kid is so much cooler than I will ever be, even in his first 10 days of being alive. His Mom used to work with my sister as a Hair Stylist and can pull off pink, purple and blue hair like no one I have ever known.  Their house was awesome and the nursery was great. I'm a big fan of unpredictable design elements so when I saw that the clock in the nursery was a rim from a car, I swooned. The kid's name is Maverick. Come on. Automatic ticket into the Cool Kid Club.

I had so much fun with this shoot. The lighting was perfect and once Maverick fell sound asleep, he stayed asleep and didn't move.

Mom and Dad are a big fan of Black and White (as am I) so I was really excited when I started editing. Sometimes Black and White add so much more drama. Not that a baby shoot needs drama, but you know what I mean. :-)

Love the little Faux Hawk!

Thanks for checking out Baby Maverick!

Baby Vaughn

Hi Ginger Lovers! Hopefully everyone is over that Patriot's loss from yesterday. What a frustrating game to watch! I saw a very cute onsie that says "I'm told I'm a Football Fan" that I am absolutely buying for Baby Foley. Less than 6 weeks left before the little one is supposed to join us! So exciting!

This blog isn't about me but all about the awesome people I get to photograph, but I want to share this picture from Saturday. My fabulous Mother and Sister gave us the best Shower. We got some great things from all our family and friends. Baby Foley is going to be one spoiled babe!!!

The nursery is much more organized now after all the fabulous things we got. But you can see how my belly has popped out so much! And you know I needed to rock a pair of heels! Can't lose that! I didn't take them off until the shower was over and I have to say, I wasn't in that much pain - which keeps me optimistic for after baby arrives.

Ok, now let's get down to Baby Vaughn.  We set up shop in her sunroom, with a heater close to keep baby nice and comfortable. He was only 6 days old when we did this! We moved him around and positioned him and he had no problem with it! I really did have a great time.

Vaughn's Mama went out and bought the hats that you see, and she had all the other props. Our mutual friend was also there and together the 3 of us used different blankets, positions and props. At the end, I like the least amount of props in a baby photo. All the other stuff take away from the baby!

Baby Dreams are the BEST!

I love how you can still see his belly button a little bit. It just reminds you how new he was!

"You guys almost done yet? I need to go back to being a new born. Thanks!"

Baby Feet!!

This one wasn't posed at all. Little Vaughn needed some Mommy Snuggle time and I just saw how adorable that little bum was. This is one of my favorites. So sweet!

Vaughn and his family are so cute. I hope they have me back to take some more shots of all of them one day!
Newborns are so much fun to photograph, because you can do whatever you want with them! Husband and I have good friends who are due in 8 days (Yikes!!!) and I can't wait to get my hands on Little Mackenzie too, once she arrives. And then eventually Baby Foley. Ours is going to thinks it's normal to have a camera in their face every day of their lives. Kinda like I did, right Billy?!

Next up is The Mara Family. Here's a sneak peek! Beautiful!

Have a great week everyone!

Oh Hello!

Oh Hello There! How is everyone today? I'm sitting on my couch and it has started to flurry outside. I really want a big snow storm. Although it seems like we have all turned into big babies and hate the snow. But this IS Boston, and it IS February. I love snow. I'd love it even if I was working and had to commute to Waltham. I always have. I saw on Facebook (really reliable place for news) that we could get a storm Friday, but I'll believe it when I see it!

Last week I took Lu-lu on a drive with me -- much to her dismay; "I don't like rides. I want to go home and watch my show." -- But lucky for her, the ride ended with a trip to Panera and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. Yum! Anyways, I saw Blue Hills on Chronicle some time a while ago, and have been meaning to drive through.  It was very cold, and the little one didn't really have the proper jacket (Babysitter of the year, right here!) so we couldn't walk around for too long.  So that means only a few shots. But that's ok. Now I know I definitely want to back up and maybe go on a short hike, sans 3 year old.

The sun was in her face so she asked to wear my sunglasses. She's 3 going on 21. Love the little diva.

Despite the cold, we had to take a turn on the swings. The thing about a park in the winter, we had the whole thing to ourselves. I just wish she had a heavier jacket. We would have stayed all day!

Freezing Pond.

Thanks for checking in. Ta-Ta for now!

D & A

Hi all! Can I just tell you how happy I am about all of the things everyone is saying about my new business venture, and this blog. It makes it feel so worth it! I really hope to make this a profession one day, and I feel I am really headed in the right direction. Thank you all for your support and kind word!

I can not wait for you guys to see these next photos. I have known Kerry for years! Both of her parents have worked with my mom at the Boston Herald for what seems like forever. We sort of grew up going there. I have had numerous jobs in what seems like every department (Editorial, Circulation, 2 week stint in the Mail Room, and finally Advertising) and she ended up working there too.  One of the first memories I have is when I was 18 or 19 and she took me down to the Electrician's (I think!) Christmas Party.  She may or may not have given me a cup filled with something spiked. :-) Fast forward a few years and both of us were working in Advertising. She met her husband, Dominic, there as well. She eventually left when it came time to have her first, Little Dominic, but we stayed in touch. Anthony came along a few years later and they are two of THE CUTEST children I. Have. Ever. Seen.

Just have yourself a little look-see!

Oh hi Rudolph! You're nose is bright! Can I touch it?

I love these kids. I love Kerry and Dom. They should have some more fat babies so I can take more pictures.

Have a great day!

The Mills Boys

Howdy! Today I am going to share 2 adorable little boys. They are my good friend Catherine and Tim's kids. Hubby has been friends with Timmy since he was like 5 years old. Their fathers are great friends too. I love that. We always have such a blast when we all hang out. All we do is laugh. Now Tim and Cat have 2 kiddos. Man how time flies. I remember their wedding! Timmy and James are awesome. If you looked up "Little Boys" in the dictionary, pictures of them would be there.  A few weeks ago we went to the park to capture them in their element. The ran around having a ball. I have to say, Timmy was such a ham. I was posing and smiling whenever I told him so. Love it! Such a great morning, not to mention this park was awesome. And it was like 60* so that helped.

Enjoy!

So much concentration!

Cat had a near heart attack when this happened. That slide is quite steep. How can you deny that smile though?!

My favorite pictures are ones like this. If he was my kid, this would be in a frame in the living room.

I'm laughing to myself as I'm adding these. Little James was so funny with those faces. He is such an animated kid!

I loved this shoot! There's nothing like capturing a child in their natural environment with natural smiles. I can't wait till Cat and Tim hire me again (hehehe)

Until next time!
